Dupo, Illinois (May 15, 2024) – The Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) unit at Dupo High School has soared to new heights, achieving the prestigious Distinguished Unit Award with Merit (DUA w/Merit) for the 2023-2024 school year. This is the pinnacle of national recognition for AFJROTC units, signifying exceptional performance during inspections and unwavering dedication throughout the year.

The DUA w/Merit is a testament to the exceptional leadership and tireless efforts of the Dupo High School AFJROTC team. This includes Lieutenant Colonel Thomas J. Luckritz, USAF (Ret.), Senior Aerospace Science Instructor, alongside Senior Master Sergeant Janas. Their combined expertise and dedication played a vital role in guiding the cadet corps to achieve excellence in leadership, community service, and program requirements.
