Teacher Shortage Crisis Plan of Action

When: Tuesday, Jan. 30th 2024 at 6-7pm

Where: 600 Louisa Avenue, Dupo, IL Dupo Junior/Senior High School Cafeteria
Why: The entire nation is facing a teacher shortage, & we are feeling this in our district for sure. Our teaching staff has been selflessly shouldering this burden, but the issue's intensity is becoming too much. Our Board of Education, the Superintendent, Administration & Educators are reaching out for help. Dupo needs you now!
Substitute Teaching

Make a difference while earning $ 125 per day, having flexible hours, & being supported throughout the entire process!

Our plan involves immediate short-term action & long-term remediation.
The teacher shortage is not new, but with increased openings, fewer substitute (sub) teachers, & fewer young adults choosing education as a profession. The old way of getting by with subs & current staff filling the void is not getting the job done.
