With the season off to a rocky start, the girls basketball team is 2-7 but they’ve played some good games. When asked about the season Coach Carpenter says, “ We've had some good parts of games, but are struggling to play an entire game successfully. We've had a few leads at half that we let get away from us during the enemy we've made of the 3rd quarter. If we can figure out the little things, I like the makeup of the team and how we're starting to work really well together. ”Their last win was against First Baptist Academy with a score of 50-7. The player of the game was Kaitlynn Townsend. As of now Kylie Kloess is leading the team in points per game as a freshman. Their next game is tomorrow night at home against New Athens.
