  Dupo Junior/Senior High School

Esports: Thank you to everyone who came out for the Esports Open Gaming Sessions. Sign Up sheets are on Mr. Tidball’s door and up in the library for the Fall Season games. The Fall season includes the following games: Mario Kart 8, Valorant, Rocket League, Fortnite, Super Smash Brothers, Madden, NBA2K, FIFA(FC), and Street Fighter 6.  Sign up is open until September 13th.     

Homecoming: The last day to order shirts is Thursday. You can order your shirts in your English class with Ms. Janssen or in the cafeteria during lunch. The shirts cost $25.00. If you don’t pay for your shirt, you will not receive one!

Game Day:  Game Day in the Library will be on Thursdays from 3-5.  Must provide your own transportation.  If you have any questions please speak to Mrs. Kloess in the Library. 

Drama Club: Anyone interested in performing with the drama club this year, come to our informational meeting on Wednesday, September 4th. Junior High and High School students are welcome.  

Juniors: We need workers for this week’s games especially football on Friday. Please check the Google sheet! Thanks! 

Sophomores: Please check Google Classroom to see dates for upcoming volleyball games and concession times. If you wish to sign up for a spot please let Mr. Griffin or Mr. Huelskamp know at your earliest convenience. Thank you!

High School Students: We are excited to let you know that any interested students have the opportunity to go on a field trip to the Metro Construction Career Expo in October.  Learn more about various careers in the trades. If you’d like to participate, fill out the form in your email sent by Mrs. Kyle.

Cross country: Congratulations to the junior high and high school cross country teams for a great first race in Mascoutah on Saturday! Each of the junior high races had over 400 runners! Shout out to Jonathan Knaup for finishing in the top 100!  In the high school races, each race had over 200 runners in each race! Shout out to Keith West, Carter Lumpkins, Tania Rivas, & McCulloch Miller for all finishing in the top 100 of their races! Today the junior high races at Millstadt and on Friday in Granite City. The high school will have their next race on Saturday in Granite City. 

High School Student Council: There will be grade-level meetings this Wednesday during the 7th hour. All grades will be dismissed by intercom at 2:30 to designated locations. Be prepared to meet with your sponsors about homecoming activities. 

Junior High Student Council: Mrs. Lenz will be getting info to 7th graders interested in student council today during Guided Advisory.

Choir: Anyone in Junior High or High School  interested in joining,  our first practice will be on Thur. Sept. 5 at 3:15 in Ms. Wuerffel’s room 218.
