On March 22nd and 23rd, the Dupo Robotics team arrived at this year's FIRST Robotics competition. The competition lasts two days, with there being an opportunity to advance further after placing high enough in your first few matches. This year, Dupo ranked as high as 19th place out of 46 total competitors during the first day. On the second day, Dupo finished 30th. The Dupo Robotics team included Paul Woods, Michael Lesch, Arlis Woods, Zane Coplin, Robert Schroeder, and Jacob Beatte who were coached by Mr. Leavitt, Mr. LeSaulnier and Mr. Charlie Beatte. The Robotics team had worked very hard all season for the competition, and their hard work paid off. When asked about his thoughts on the season, Coach Leavitt said, “This was the best robot we have competed with. It was the first time we had a working autonomous mode. It was also the first time we were able to score at will.” Great job Tigers!
