Homecoming: This year’s theme is tropical! Order your homecoming shirt in one of the English teacher’s rooms. If you have any questions contact Ms. Janssen.

Sophomores: Please check Google Classroom for concession sign ups. Our first concession duty is next Tuesday. Also, don’t forget to sign up for homecoming committees.

Drama Club: Love being the center of attention? Dupo Drama Club is looking for new members to star in our productions. If you’re interested in getting experience performing in front of a live audience, come to our first meeting after school, on Wednesday, September 6th, in Mr. Tidball’s room in the High School.  Drama Club is open to Junior High and High School students alike.  Come one, come all, and help us earn a standing ovation this year.

Juniors: If you are interested in helping with prom or after-prom and want to be on the Prom committee, you need to sign up on the sign up sheet outside Mr. Hempen’s room by the end of today. Also, check your emails for the concession sign up, we still need volunteers for tonight’s baseball game.

Esports: If you are interested in trying out for the fall Esports team, please see Mr. Tidball in Rm #118 in the high school.  The first set of tryouts will be Today, August 29th, in the library from 3-4:30p.m., including the following games: Valorant, League of Legends, and Mario Kart.  We will be competing against other schools, like Redbud, Centralia, Peoria, and Belleville West.    

Junior High Student Council - 8th graders who turned in forms to Mrs. Lenz, please plan to meet on Thursday with Mrs. LenzWe will have a meeting for 7th graders interested in Student Council on Friday, September 1st at 2:30 in Mrs. Lenz’s room. 

GAME DAY Club - Congratulations to Landon Willyard for winning the first Jenga Championship of the Dupo World!

Cross Country: Congratulations to the high school cross country team! They kicked off their season with a meet on Saturday at Civic Memorial and yesterday in New Athens. All the hard work is paying off with great races from everyone! A special congratulations to Ashley Merrell for earning a medal yesterday at New Athens!  Both the junior high and high school teams will compete next weekend in Granite City.

Junior High/High School Chorus: Watch for flyers around the building for sign-ups. Our first practice will be on Thur. Sept 7 from 3:15-4 in the music room at Bluffview. See Mrs. Wagner in Rm. 128 with any questions.
