Inside recess on a rainy day in first grade!

There's no better way to celebrate Fall and October than carving a pumpkin! Ms. Church's students explored the parts of a pumpkin, counted over 400 seeds, and carved a face in "Fred."

Are permanent markers really permanent?

Plant Parts Scope

Please join us for our Veterans Day Celebration on Friday, November 7th.

Ms. Church's class has adopted another calf through the Discover Dairy Adopt-A-Cow program. Stop outside room 310 throughout the year to watch Rizzo grow and learn fun, exciting facts about life on a dairy farm.

Reminder: Boograms are due tomorrow (10/21).

#Congratulations to our October 2025 Students of the Month!

We've been learning about helpful scarecrows this week, and today Mrs. Eaton's class had fun making and eating their very own scarecrows!

Reminder! Our first round of Parent-Teacher Conferences starts tonight from 4:00pm-8:00pm! Also, there will be a FAFSA workshop in the HS Library at 6pm and the Substitute Academy in the ROTC room at 6pm.

Bluffview Math: It's What We Do!

Boograms were sent home. Please return them by Tuesday, October 21st. Our Student Council is ready to make them! 👻

What better way to start October than with pumpkins? 🎃 Mrs. Hodge’s class explored the pumpkin life cycle, identified its parts, and then had so much fun opening one up to see it all firsthand. Lots of smiles, curiosity, and a little pumpkin goo made for a perfect fall science lesson!

🍎 Ms. Church’s class wrapped up September with a crisp and tasty science experiment—an apple taste test! 🍏 Students became little scientists as they identified, sketched, and weighed four different apple varieties. After tasting, they compared flavors—deciding which were sweet, tart, or sour—and charted their favorites.

🎃📚 Ms. Church’s class kicked off October with a “spook-tacular” reading session! Students picked a festive fall book, found a cozy spot, and enjoyed reading in a room filled with ambient, autumn vibes. 🍂👻 A perfect way to build reading skills while celebrating the season! ✨

Mrs. Hanks class worked on reading with my student teacher, Mr. Trey! They used their fun Halloween finger pointers. The other students were working hard on their center work.
